Im not sure if most people know that original Clash guitarist and founding member of PIL Keith Levine has passed away at 65 from liver cancer. I have always thought he and Andy Gill of the Gang of Four were two of the most interesting guitarists of their day.

My experience with a "cheap" Amazon pre-order : Japan's recent "Exorcising Ghosts" was on at £15 so ordered (obviously). All as normal, even seeing that it had been dispatched on the day of release, then received a message saying due to supply issues the order was being cancelled. Others also received the same message. Hope you have a better outcome. Enjoy the channel, excellent content.

Who would have thought a 40th anniversary repress for A Flock Of Seagulls? That’s amazing and hopefully a younger generation will discover them. I saw the live one for the Fixx and Police in 82. Great show.

Cant believe the Rolling Stones Mono box is getting a repress. I would love to add this but I already spent my money on the Paul McCartney 80 7 in single box set that comes out 12/2/22 and the Neil Young 50th Anniversary of Harvest also out on 12/2

You just cost me $428 for an Amazon U.S. pre-order on the Stones box! I missed out the last time around and have almost none of their early stuff on mono or stereo. I got the record store day compilation in mono a few years ago and it sounds great. Thanks for the heads up!

In 2018, I got The Rolling Stones "Studio Albums 1971 - 2016" LP set on pre-order for a "pricing error" of $179 US. And it came to fruition. So, it's very possible we will get The Rolling Stones "In Mono" LP sets for the cheaper price. But, you're right, I will place another pre-order, through Amazon Canada (when they finally get it in), just to be on the safe side, if Amazon UK were to cancel our earlier pre-orders.

Hi there and thanks for the video. For people who have been interested in the Verve Acoustic Sounds Series you missed mentioning an absolutely landmark album from the Oscar Peterson Trio. I refer of course to “Night Train” It’s release has been delayed and pushed out numerous times from the originally planned date, but I understand it is finally scheduled for release on 13th January.
On another note, I have purchased both the two Ella and Louis reissues and Oscars “We Get Requests” and yes, the packaging is lovely but sonically I was expecting more. I was so looking forward to these but honestly they are not that much better then my copies from the 1970s and 80s and in the case of “We Get Requests” not as good I feel as the Verve Master Edition CD Series. Others may take a different viewpoint. That’s perfectly ok.

Regarding the Stones' reissue. Amazon usually cuts the price after a while anyway, and by quite a lot. They haven't set a limit on how many they will press that I can find, so I guess the Stones box will be "limited" to how many they can sell. If you hear of a limit, please post it, Michael. I will more than likely not pay 428.00 [current price] for this set. Some box sets are too overpriced, atm. Although this set really isn't that bad at roughly 27.00 a record. But I would hate to spend 428.00 now and see it on Amazon for 299.00 six months from now. Also, I have the first three Flock of Seagulls original pressings, but of course the U.S. pressings, not the UK. They all sound very good, imho. Like you, I was a big fan of FoS back in the day. Although their first record was still their best, imo. Great video, btw.
