6:48, usually the second USB cable is for the USB pass-through. When I unplug the second cable from my k70, everything still works except the passthrough

Hey techsource, actually 2-usb cabled keyboards are for - one usb for the keyboard itself, second usb for the additional usb port on the keyboard, so you could connect other peripherals to the keyboard and have one larger wire rather than two separated ones.

The extra usb on corsair or any other brands of keyboards are for the extra usb port on the keyboard like the k95.

Hey Ed just letting you know I got a Corsair K70 and the second USB cable is for USB pass through on the front of the keyboard. The RGB and the keyboard work with just 1 USB plugged in. At least I know that's how mine is and the cords are usually labeled. Anyway cant wait to see your personal custom build! Black and red is cool but White and red is just glorious especially with cables like that!
