In the second one, you can't move up because the piston arm is acting as a ceiling. If you move out from under it whilst staying inside the piston head, you might be able to jump up.

The intended solution is when you use F5, see using F5 gives you a whole new perspective that you can see the hidden hopper underneath the bedrock which has a water bucket-

Minecraft isn't moving your position upwards, it just takes you out of crawl mode when you relog when clipped into a block. This clips the top part of your hitbox in the bedrock, letting you escape.

i think the reason you cant jump in the piston is that you are under the piston arm so moving away from it to the edge might fix that

Piston head hitbox is directional, you can do the second trick with only one piston (there won’t be anything stopping you from jumping) if you place the piston in right direction

THe last one is actually kinda usefull when a server disable ender pearl and you want to get to the nether roof
