Why the world's biggest electric vehicle NEVER needs charging

It's the very biggest of all the boys, it runs only on electric and it needs plugging in less often than a Nokia 3210. The E-Dumper yeets range anxiety off, well, a mountain range - here's how.

Just think about the amount of money that retrofit saves that operation.

I saw a dump truck with twin pantographs driving under twin catenary wires. I was hoping this video was going to be about that.

I love driving my EV downhill. It puts charge into my battery, and more range. No ICE vehicle does that.

Infinity Train, Australia, and Iron Ore Train, Sweden, are based on the same idea.

The illustration at 2:24 is technically wrong. It only travels down the mountain side when fully loaded.

Fewer parts but the parts are harder to remove and can't be repaired. I guess they'll be treated like old fashioned planes and replace everything at regular intervals

It does need charging…. Recharges every time it goes down hill

Genius. Hope the engineer got a good bump in pay for this.

So this is an unique situation, what when gravity can not be used, loading lower level, unloading higher level?

Why not use the battery to put back some of the energy back into the grid at night

Wowowow I now know something that I don't need to know

The rock is basically going downhill via gravity

Because it doesn't work for most worksites so it sits there.
It can't produce enough braking or torque to be used on anything but the slightest graded quarries.

Imagine if they used gas for this...what a waste.

EVERYTHING needs to be electric ASAP

Then why not have two trucks tied together with a cable. At the top is a pulley wheel. Then neither truck needs an engine, and they can move more rocks. Or, why have any truck at all? Just have a rock slide down the mountain, or a conveyer belt.

That is one DC motor or1 AC induction turning as many DC generators wind turbines without wind as long as a cog works are connected or you can do a bike chainset "Free energy" multiplies 1 or * the consumption of the power used to turn them all

Stop putting rocks in and see what happens.
