How to Use MacroDroid to Simplify Android Automation

In this video, I'll be showing you how to use an app called "MacroDroid" to perform the functions you would normally have to use Tasker for.

Unlike Tasker, though, MacroDroid is incredibly easy to use, and it's got a beautiful interface. So if you've always found Tasker to be more trouble than it's worth, you can finally get into Android automation with an easy-to-use interface.

MacroDroid has had significant updates recently, adding better compatibility for plugins - adding a plugin store, variables are now searchable, there are lots of UX fixes and airplane mode can now be toggled with or without rot

Thank God. I had no idea why I downloaded this when I opened it today. It looked like Chinese to me (I don't know Chinese). So thank you for explaining it to people who drink and start on the internet way to far into their buzz and the night. 😁🤙

I use this as an auto-clicker/auto-screen tapper on non-rooted android 5.1
Works perfectly! I have it set to auto click a certain part of my screen in a certain app every 15 minutes :)

I'm just getting into macrodroid and I was wondering where do the cloud backs ups save to and I read that there is a premium version available but I don't see it?

Great app. How's the battery life consumption though?

Do you think apps like these and Tasker just destroy your Ram and battery? Their constantly running in the background.

it does not have customised vibration pattern settings there is only a fixed list of options that you need to select from

I would like to know if you think I could run Tasker and MacroDroid assigning different things to each all on my phone. Without there being a conflict between the two apps.

I have a projector phone and i made a macro to enable wifi when projector is launched, so far everything's working fine but when i add another macro to disable wifi when projector is turned off, it won't do that and on top of that even wifi enable macro won't work either. Any tips?

Hi i have a big problem with macrodroid geofencer i hope you help my.
Geofencing is a feature that allows you to set up a virtual boundary around a specific location, and then configure actions to take place automatically when a device enters or exits that boundary. It is possible that you may be experiencing an issue with the geofencing feature in the MacroDroid app on your Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 smartphone.
I am unable to resolve this problem with MacroDroid's geofence function. I have also tried using geofences and not receiving any triggers when I cross the borders. I have used both options to leave or not leave a known area.

I have checked the location permissions for MacroDroid and it seemed fine.

I have no idea what else I can try for geofence problem resolution. There is nothing in the system log that says I have crossed a border.

Some possible causes for this issue include:

Incorrect location settings on your device: Make sure that your device's location services are enabled, and that the app has permission to access your location.
Issues with the app itself: Sometimes, bugs or compatibility issues can prevent an app from functioning properly. Check for updates to the app, or contact the developer for support.
Third-party interference: Some other apps or services running on your device could be interfering with the geofencing feature. You can try uninstalling any apps that you think might be causing the problem, or disable any battery optimization settings that are enabled for MacroDroid.
It can also be possible that the MacroDroid is not compatible with your Xiaomi device or your device's firmware, you can look for other apps that provides similar functionality or look for an official statement by the developer.

POSSIBLE SOLUTION
Task killer apps, like the one you mentioned, Kill My App, are designed to close background apps in order to free up memory and improve device performance. While this can be helpful in some cases, it's not a guaranteed solution for issues with geofencing, and it may even make the problem worse.

I am waiting the realy solution about the users
thanks a lot avchd

If there a way in this app, or any other app to delay an action by 5 and a half hours? For example, I want an alarm to set on my phone 5.5 hours after I get a text from a certain number.

I have a question, can I have it do touches after it sees a certain image? Or text.

By touches I mean can I recorded some touches and can it replay those touches on the screen and example of this could be

When an alarm goes off the screen usually says alarm or has a clock.jpg I'm wondering if the app could see this text or image and then after I record where to touch(turn off button fir the alarm) it replays and touches the OK button(turn off button fir the alarm) after 3 or 5 sec depending on my preferences?

Android automation is complete ass. Unless you work like a fuckin robot and do the same exact thing everday at all times there will always be some shitty ass conflict with something. I thought it would be cool to have play music launch every time I plug my headset in. I learned that's not always why I plug in my headset so it became a pain because I had to kill the app. I thought it would be a nice way to save battery if I set my tablet to go into airplane mode when in sleep mode. Downloaded content would fail so I set it so that if chrome was running it the background to not go into airplane mode. That didn't work all the time. I set it so that if I turned airplane mode on it would turn on wifi because I normally use airplane mode with wifi. However sometimes I am trying to save battery without turning the device off so I had to turn the wifi off every time I turned airplane mode on. Android automation is a piece of worthless shit! There is always an issue with it.
