Something none noticed: the device that was playing ragtime was Wagstaffs radio device. Maybe WX-69 created the music circuit based off of the only available music player in the constant. This theory might seem loose but knowing how WX-12345 feels about other machines (considers them kin) and considering the fact that without an empathy module appreciation for beauty is limited, WX-78 most likely chose the ragtime song as it was the only reference available to enjoyable music and also a reference provided by a family member, maybe holding even more weight that wat. (even if the constant repetition made William Carter mad about it)
