First start of the 2019 season in the 1959 Chevrolet Bel Air
Показать описание
Cranked up the Bel Air for the first time since last October. The old 348 cranked right up, and ran perfect on it's first ride of the 2019 cruising season.
I may wait another few weeks to bring it home from dad's. I am up there a lot, so I can take it out to do my running around up there, if it's a nice day.
Won't be long until were in full cruising season. Keep an eye out for car story videos. My friend Dave bought a couple nice rides over the winter. I will try to get out to his place in the next month or so to do a video on them. One is a 1976 Oldsmobile Nighty Eight Regency station wagon, wood grain and all, the other is a 1965 "I think", Chevy half ton pick up, with a factory V-8 and automatic... very rare for that era. Most were inline sixes with a three on the tree.
I have been keeping my eye open for another project car, even made offers on a couple, but the owners thought there cars were 1000 point turn key show cars, and wanted way to much money for them, when they needed a TON of work and money dumped into them. Only one ran and drove, the rest didn't run, and one was missing it's drivetrain.
Also I have been ridding my XL175 to friends and stuff. I stick to the local neighborhood roads when ridding it. With all the crazy drivers and there lack of attention driving, I stay off the main roads, and still ride the bike like I am invisible. I didn't think I would ride it at all, but I have put almost a hundred miles on it... and it's still early spring, and cool out.
