When Russia withdrew from Bucha it was termed a monumental defeat, when Ukraine does it, it's a tactical retreat lol

How can he be called the Governor of Luhansk when the Ukraine doesn't control any territory of Luhansk?

The United States call it "Liberation" instead of "Invasion". That was what US call it in Iraq, Afghanistan, Libya, Syria, Yemen, Somalia and the list goes on... Why the double standard? Confused... Please enlighten. Genuine question...

It would have been a "tactical withdrawal" if it was done weeks ago, now it is just a retreat from a cauldron that is nearly shut. Not a great strategy from the high command.

They should have done this weeks ago. Thousands of troops and equipments sacrificed for nothing!!

I believe the correct word is"defeated"

They have left it too late, they are having to retreat over open ground. The fact that Ukraine blew up bridges to stop their troops retreating did not help. As for the civilians who are staying, they are waiting for Russia who they see as liberators from the Nazis.

What happened, AJ? Judging by your reports I thought Zelenskyy was on the cusp of taking Moscow. Probably the comedian just got tired of winning.😂😂😂 I suppose there will be a series of "tactical withdrawals" right to polish border just to confuse the Russians before the great counterattack to take Moscow.🤣🤣🤣

"Tactical withdrawal"--that's an understatement. They are fleeing like cornered rats.

Withdraw? That’s a perfect understatement.

It's not a tactical retreat. Clearly they are defeated in that battle.

Lysychansk & Slovyansk are next in line, which will open the door this could have been avoided 6 years ago if Mr. Poroshenko & Zelenskyy had implemented the Minsk Agreement which Ukraine signed in 2015. Marginalization of a distinct people, their culture & language never helps.

And withdraw to another cauldron of Lysichansk and after how much loss? Could it not be done earlier for same outcome and less loss?

I like that Al Jazeera exists. In times of war between West and Russia, they can report neutrally.

I hate the bias in most West reports.
