Face/Off 2 starring Will Smith and Chris Rock would be box office gold.

FACE/OFF was a product of getting two big stars and one legendary director John Woo - At the time they wanted Harrison Ford and Michael Douglas, then they found that those guys weren't available they switched to John Travolta and Patrick Swayze, in the end it ended up with John Travolta and Nic Cage with the legendary John Woo at it's helm.

You cannot do it without John Woo - the movie featured John Woo's stylized gunplay, with his emotive drama, the two stars served the story and script perfectly - It was big and epic. The original movie is still potent today, and it does not need a different director making a bad sequel.

As countless people below me have no doubt stated, there is NO need for Face/Off 2. Woo crafted a legendary action film with two lead actors at the top of their game.

There is nowhere to go from there but down.

Morons sure took long time. As far as Nicholas Cage goes: he’s always been a big star. I have no doubt that he has the ability to carry a big project, but I wish they this at least 10yrs ago to get John Travolta.

The first Face Off movie has a Hong Kong action style feel in it because of John Woo, but only gun action and less hand to hand, the story of the movie stands out, and one of the few movies where the audience focuses on the story as well as the lead actors. I'm in favor of having a sequel, but a remake? If they insist they must find actors with the same level of Cage and Travolta in this geneation, and have John Woo as director, executive producer or story consultant, and lastly the action choreography must be a combination of Gunfighting and these time Kung Fu Fighting or better known today as Gun Fu.

Face/Off is one of my favorite guilty pleasure movies, it’s so dumb yet so entertaining, if they’re gonna do a sequel I kinda want them to focus on 2 new actors, because we’ve already seen what it’s like when Nicolas Cage acts like John Travolta and what it’s like when John Travolta acts like Nicolas Cage, so to avoid redundancy you kinda need 2 fresh new faces, and I think I got it, The Rock and Jessie Eisenberg, so you’d have a big tough guy acting like a small wimpy guy and a small wimpy guy acting like a big tough guy

A couple of details has emerged about Face/Off 2. Nicholas Cage will play Caster Troy's twin brother and he's a good guy. Sean Archer has disappeared while on a covert mission so Nicholas Cage must become Sean Archer. He must complete the covert mission and find Sean Archer
