Показать описание
PPTP (Point to Point Tunneling Protocol) Server is used to create a VPN connection for remote clients. It allows you to connect securely from a remote location (such as your home) to an LAN (Local Area Network) located in another location. PPTP servers are also known as Virtual Private Dialup Network (VPDN) servers. PPTP is preferred over other protocols because it is faster and it has ability to work on mobile devices.

I have another problem. I use Winbox v.6.40. VPN is working now, but... One colleague from his IP connected to VPN, but me not. I tried to use two computers (W10, W7), two differen internet providers, but no success. I got this eror message "The remote connection was not made because the
attempted VPN tunnels failed. The VPN server might be unreachable. If this connection is attempting to use an L2TP/IPsec tunnel, the security parameters required for IPsec negotiation might not be configured properly.?" Why, ? Why he connects and I don't.

almost every PPTN server tutorial is missing to mention the firewall exception which needs to be added, otherwise it cannot work

Hi, in your video, the client has an empty gateway, when is connected to VPN. Can the connected client ping any other computer in the LAN? for example the LAN is 192.168.1.0/24 (so router is 192.168.1.1, a server is 192.168.1.2 another server is 192.168.1.3 a printer is 192.168.1.4 etc. So when the client connect to VPN gets an IP from the DHCP pool (192.168.2.XXX), so how can ping 192.168.1.XXX (servers & printer)? Thanks in advance for your help!!

Not working for me. No idea why or how to chech where the connection failure is. Connect from internet -> Huawei LTE (port forwarding configured) -> Mikrotik. I don't even know how to check if the connection is reaching the Mikrotik.

192.168.1.0/24 = Lan (bridge eth1, 2, 3, 4)
10.1.1.0/24 = PPTP
