EXCELLENCE RIVIERA CANCUN 2024 SUITES - Entry Level to Luxury Understanding the 12 Suite Options.

If you've picked Excellence Riviera Cancun (ERC) as your next vacation spot, the next big decision is choosing which room best suits your needs and your budget. ERC has12 different suite categories.

In this video, we’ll be diving into the various room categories at Excellence Riviera Cancun a luxury, adults-only, all-inclusive resort in Mexico’s Riviera Maya, about 25-30 minutes south of Cancun Airport. ERC has 440 rooms, and they’re all suites.
Most rooms will be very similar to the Junior Suites with differences in location and balcony or terraces.
1. Junior Suite Spa or Pool View
When you enter the room, you’ll notice a key card system for electronic entry, and the first thing you’ll see is a large closet, a safe that fits a 15-inch laptop, bathrobes, slippers, and often an umbrella. There’s also a room service box, so you won’t have to leave dirty dishes outside your door.

The open-concept bathroom is big, with double sinks and Excellence-branded toiletries that are actually decent in quality. There’s a jacuzzi tub, a separate toilet area, and a separate shower. That being said, privacy is a bit limited—while the doors are frosted glass, the bathroom is still what I’d call “semi-private.”

For comfort, the rooms come equipped with air conditioning and a ceiling fan, and even in the heat of July, we’ve always found the AC does the trick. You’ll also have Wi-Fi, which works great throughout the resort.

Next up is the mini-bar, which is stocked with an espresso machine, a variety of soft drinks, juice, tonic water, bottled water, beer, and snacks, all refreshed daily. You’ll also find red and white wine along with full bottles of rum, vodka, and tequila.

And instead of an iron, ERC provides a garment steamer, a hairdryer and a scale. Each room has a tv, comfy linens, and a pillow menu . The housekeeping is consistently excellent in our experience, and there’s nightly turndown service.

#2. Junior Swim-Up Suite Spa or Pool View
#3. Junior Suite Ocean View
#4. Two-Story Rooftop Terrace Suite
The interiors are all very similar. The two-story rooftop terrace suites have a terrace on the roof with a plunge pool and day bed.

The Club level Suites:
#5. Excellence club Junior Suite Pool View: These suites are pretty much identical to the standard ones we’ve seen, but with a prime location in building 9, offering a nice view of the pool.
#6 Excellence Club Junior Suite Ocean Front: located in buildings 7 and 8 on the second floor.
#7 Excellence Club Junior Swim-Up Suite Pool View. These are ground-floor rooms in building 9.
#8 Excellence Club Junior Swim-Up Suite Ocean Front. Most of these swim-ups open up to the Club pool, but there are a few in building 7 that lead directly to the main pool.
#9 Excellence Club Honeymoon Suite Ocean Front. This suite is bigger at. There is only one of these suites and it is located on the corner of building 7.
#10 Excellence Club Two Story Roof Top Terrace Suites Ocean Front. These beauties come with 1060 sq. ft. of space, a private plunge pool on your rooftop terrace, and panoramic views of the Club pool.
#11 Excellence Club Imperial Suite. There are two of these suites on the property. Both located on the end of building 8. These are massive at 1993 sq. ft. and come with a huge terrace, a separate living and dining room, a kitchen, an outdoor jacuzzi, and your very own private butler.
# 12 Excellence Club Honeymoon Suite Ocean Front with Rooftop Terrace. This is touted as one of the best honeymoon suites in the Caribbean. It offers ocean views, two balconies, a spacious living room, an outdoor jacuzzi, and even a couple’s massage room. At 2080 sq. ft. There is one of these suites and it has arguably the best views on the property. It sits on the end of building 7.

Vacations are a big investment, and choosing the right room can definitely impact your stay. We try to pay it forward and make videos about our experiences at the resorts we choose for our vacation. We hope this helps you narrow down which suites is best for your next vacation. We most often choose an entry level suite and we really enjoy it. Sometimes we upgrade to club level. It is very nice but we don't find our vacation lacking when we don't.
