Taylor GS Mini Review

In this review video I give you all my reasons for loving the Taylor GS Mini. Please forgive me for gushing:) It's just that I think Taylor guitars has knocked it out of the park on the GS Mini. Last I checked, it's literally one of the best selling guitars ever and I think everyone should have one in their guitarsenal.

One day I dropped by the guitar shop, I saw a mini used, picked it up played it for about 30 seconds and bought it for $379 case and all. I love these minis.

Just got mine delivered today. I almost couldn't stop playing it. This is the best acoustic guitar I've ever played. Most acoustics are so bulky it feels like I'm playing a piece of furniture, and can be very uncomfortable for me. I've almost been turned off completely from playing acoustics for that reason. Not anymore. This guitar is perfect for people who want a comfortable guitar that produces a surprisingly full sound for its size. Best guitar purchase I've made in years!

All my large guitars are very lonely now, I play this guitar exclusively all the time love it I am more happy with this purchase than any other guitar I have ever bought and I have plenty, in eight years I have replaced the frets 4 times the last time with stainless steel which has taken nothing away from the sound of this awesone guitar from the couch to the stage this guitar will be with me. For life !!!

I had the exact same attitude towards this guitar: absolute amazement. I tried other acoustics around the price range such as the Taylor 114ce and Seagull SWS SG, while these guitars were excellent I would go back to the GS Mini and strum a chord and instantly shake my head at what I am hearing! It never ceases to amaze.

I just gave one a test drive yesterday at our local Guitar Center. I was pleasantly amazed at how full and resonant the sound was out of a guitar that size! It sounded amazing!! Quite honestly, it didn’t sound much different than the 214ce that I already own. Very nice guitar! I might actually consider buying one! Thanks for the review. 👍😎👍

I tried out this guitar at my local shop. This by far is the most comfortable guitar that I have played ever, and the tone is just amazing. This is a keeper guitar for me. I just have to save some money to buy one. Great review.

Tony, ive commented on your guitar playing amd knowledge, but never your personality. You have the "it" factor. Youre charismatic. You can sell ice to eskimos. I took the entertainment factor for granted when you were doing the reviews on the acoustic letter. But since the change ive come to appreciate the importance and level of your charisma. I do still appreciate what theyre doing, and i continue watch their videos. This comment is more of an ode to you. It's not taught in school or anywhere else. Some people have "it" and some dont. Thank you for what you do and how you do it.

I have. GSMini Mahogany and installed the ESGo pickup. It is beyond a doubt a fantastic guitar as you say. I have talked a few people into getting one, I like it so much. I am learning to play and I probably play this guitar the most. Like you said it is so comfortable and easy to play. Anyone who sees your demo and review should head out to a guitar store and sit down with a GS Mini and strum away. Bring your wallet because you will definitely want to leave the store with one of these.

I have one of these, and yes, simply incredible tone from such a small box. Super comfortable to hold, but, I found the string height much too high, so, my local tech filed down the string depth at the nut, and now it is perfect, also, it came with 13/56 gauge strings, I've gone to 11/52 gauge, and they are perfect for me !

Tony, I just want you to know we MISS you doing the Acoustic Letter. I one million percent support and understand your new venture, but you left big shoes to fill! I have NINE guitars, and my hog-top GS Mini is one of my favorites. The only thing I will say is that you might want to check out that "mounting system for a pickup" (ES-GO) before you plug it. I'm pretty confident knowing your appreciation for guitars it's not going to be up to your gigging standards. It leaves MUCH to be desired tonally. Having said that, I put a Baggs Element in mine, my friend put in a K&K, another put in a Baggs IBeam, and I agree 100% percent that they can "gig"! Mine is my backup in live settings. So incredibly versatile. Thanks for the video!
