We need an Isekai where the MC starts out overpowered but then is slapped with "Your free trail of Lv100 has expired" like how some RPGs tease you with a very high level in the prologue and then bam, you're level 1.

Considering how harem animes go; Tenpuru's protag of trying to get OUT of that life before it even became a thing was at least commendable. Even if he just ended up basically walking into a Love Hina set up.

Rental Girlfriend is never going to end, because I'm starting to believe the writer don't know what romance is.

There are three kinds of trash (in terms of entertainment just to clarify, and more specifically, anime in this context, but anyway) in my mind:

1) An anime so bad you have to show it to others so you can laugh at it together

2) An anime so over the top and ridiculous it actually somehow manages to outdo what should be objectively better shows in entertainment value

& 3) An anime so awful, that you feel like you wasted 10% of your remaining life just by watching it

I appreciate the use of "start to stat screen" as the isekai equivalent of the era-defining, nation-toppling "start to crate" rating system.

I read the Vending Machine manga recently, and 2 things I wanna point out:

1. They changed the method of death. In the manga, MC was on a street corner thinking about how much he likes vending machines when he successfully dodged truck kun, only to realize that truck kun clipped the vending machine and it was about to fall over, so he willingly threw himself under the vending machine and got crushed to save it

2. They added in the eyes in the anime. In the manga he didn't have any, a completely normal looking vending machine. I guess they thought he wasn't expressive enough.

Also Zom 100: Starts delaying episodes not even halfway through its run because they're not even finished yet

Tenpuru is honestly one of favourite shows this season. Between Kagura blatantly manipulating Mia, Kurage trying to set up one of her sisters with Akagami so he keeps cooking her meals, and Kiki's burning hatred for the one priest - the supporting cast is so delightfully warped.

How to make an Isekai 101:
- OP Protagonist
- RPG system
- Horny harem (no other boys allowed unless if they make the protagonist look stronger)
- Demon Lord (optional, but recommended)
- Plot (optional)

"Am I Actually the Strongest?" could be interesting if the sister's enthusiasm for mundane otaku stuff was contrasted against the hero's interest in the fantasy world that seems mundane to the sister. But that second part is the exact opposite of the series's actual premise, so...

It's amazing how Rent a Girlfriend still gets a season and probably another one. If it gets to chapter 218 I'll just laugh at the meltdown on the NTR fantasy.

Man I can't believe we live in a world where "Isekai Smartphone", "Masamune-kun Revenge", "Classroom of the Elite" and "Arifureta" got a second season, "Classroom for Heroes" got an anime adaptation and "Rent A Girlfriend" got THREE FREAKING SEASONS !

I know there are also good other stuff that got the same privileges, but still...

Vending Machine is one of those shows that knows it's stupid at times, but plays it straight because it knows that's what you're here for. It's got the same appeal that its own vending machine food does. Not necessarily great, let alone even good, but dang if it isn't comforting sometimes.
