Welcome to our channel! We’re excited to get into this with you guys, share some of our journey and knowledge of Offgrid Power & custom van conversions.

In this Workshop Live, we're building a new LiFePO4 battery using a metal case that we're testing. We're wanting to see how well we can build a battery in this case and how well it performs. It's a solid case and we like it a lot, so we're testing to see how good it is!

You should test if the Bluetooth will work inside the case and mount the switch in the hole . That way when the battery is not in use then bms can sleep and can easily be restarted without opening the case.

Good construction, I would improve it by adding insulating separator between cells, the first and last being made of 2mm thick rubber. Add Loctite to the threads to prevent them from loosening in the van and if the bolts are not welded, they will be fixed with red sealant.

Buena construcción, la mejoraría añadiendo separador aislante entre celdas, siendo la primera y última de goma de 2mm de espesor. Añadir Loctite en las roscas para evitar que se aflojen en la furgoneta y si los pernos no son soldados quedarlos fijos con sellador rojo.

PLEASE #offgrid !! Does the DALY BMS balance the cells? And if so, how
many compensation amps does it send to rebalance the cells?

Love your videos. Could you provide a link to purchase this metal box? Also the Daly BMS has lug holes suitable for M6 studs. How do you connect to Victron smart shunt with m10 bolt? Do you drill out a larger hole on the Daly BMS lug, or do you make up a short connection? Thanks

are you based in England or Ireland just wondered if you had any problems getting the batteries from china through British customs as I've heard they will hold the delivery for a few months

Suggest fast forwarding a bit of the mundane stuff such as drilling holes / crimping etc. Would make the video much shorter without missing any of the important stuff.
