Hashtag United are a one-of-a-kind football and esports club, based in Essex, England. Formed in 2016 by Spencer Owen as a group of mates playing exhibition games, we now play in the 7th tier of English football, the Isthmian League Premier Division. We won our league in our first season in non-league football and were looking good for a second promotion when the 2019/20 season was voided, but after the 2020/21 season went the same way with us top of the Essex Senior League, we were eventually awarded promotion based on PPG over the two part seasons. In 2023 we won the Isthmian League North and will now play in the Isthmian Premier!
We merged with AFC Basildon Women in summer 2020 and formed our women's team, Hashtag United FC Women, who play in the 3rd tier of women's football, the FA Women's National League Southern Premier Division, after they also won their league in 2023. We also now have 40+ youth teams, reserve and development teams, an inclusive team and a walking football team...plus our esports team who play FIFA at the world's highest level. People's criticisms of Higgo and Gidds has been hilarious to see so far this season, so impatient.

Hashtag played so well and the results will come. These videos are good lessons for the players to look back on. Their winner came from a throw in. 4 Hashtag players (who had worked their socks off) but for one moment, none of them looked over their shoulders to check the billericay runner and that's all it takes at this level.

Keep at it gents. The results will come, with top players still to come back.

Appreciated the bit from Spen about supporting the lads. Getting yelled at on the internet doesn’t help anyone — these lads aren’t even professionals, they come to play because they love the game and love the club.

Think with any team that makes 3/4 signings in a single window it’ll take time for players to adjust. But it just shows how key PK can be in that midfield role

Billericay fan who was at the game here - fantastic performance from Hashtag. Really thought you were going to pip us at points. Crossbar shot definitely quietened the drums for a bit! And your number 14 definitely deserved MotM, great player. Thankful we were able to be just that bit more clinical all round.

I just have a weird gut feeling that if mish was in the 10'starting behind higgo with Pedro and Sak that the tags would be a constant threat. Even was top goal scorer he's not getting the time he deserves

Foxley has some incredible passing and shooting on that left foot. Looking forward to watching him more. Very unlucky not to get the win, but showed some hunger and passion again, which is something i missed last games

It's so easy to jump on the squads back but i've already noticed this season that there seems to be a more togetherness and playing as a team. Last season was moments of brilliance by individuals. UP THE TAGS

I dont see the value to put players "out of position" when they shine from another post.

Matt Wooldridge is a massive player for Hashtag, he cleary makes differences as a RB but, as a midfielder, he looks a bit lost and try as much as possible to get back on the right side. And it can clearly be seen on the first Billericay goal, as he's not following the number 10 that, at the final, score the goal
