What if the Ancient Chinese Knew the God of the Bible

"God has not left Himself without witness." The ancient Chinese celebrated an annual Border Sacrifice to the "Lord of Heaven." This system of worship is very similar to worship described in the book of Genesis. Did the ancient Chinese know the God of the Bible?

Very interesting, I read Don Richardson's book “Eternity in their Hearts ” and it seems that practically every tribe and nation has this worship of God in one form or another

There is another place that I’ve been to - in the Henan province, somewhere between the cities of Zhengzhou and Kaifeng - which is dedicated to the mythological “Yellow Emperor “. One of the exhibits contains an inscription of a prayer the Emperor had made, and it essentially translated as “You are the potter and we are the clay”. I read Chinese, and i was astounded by what i read.

Actually, if you tried to learn more about Chinese history, you would find that Almighty God is everything in Chinese history.

No doubt that they did know Him. But, as with a lot of the tribes in the Bible, they turned to other gods instead of Elohim.

The ancient Chinese knew that there was one living and true God, the Most High God, but they no longer knew who He was because God did not reveal His identity to them. Nevertheless, they continued to worship this one true and living God until their worship was corrupted by the introduction of Buddhism into China from India.

I visited the Forbidden City and the Temple of Heaven, in 2007, and they are very impressive. 🙏🙏🙏

In the olden Chinese characters, many of them had the character 羊🐑on them. Even the word water(水) was written with 羊🐑on it.
The Chinese knew about the lamb of God for sure. The Chinese red banner and the talisman on their door post and the centre of the door were translated from the Passover days.

The information regarding the annual Border Sacrifice ("Great Sacrifice"), what the emperor recited at the ceremony, and where the ceremony took place comes directly from The Book of Rites (Li Ji), written by Confucius (551-479BC). It is also found in the Analects of Confucius, written by Confucius' students shortly after his death. English/Chinese versions of both books are available thru Amazon or B & N.

Yes, FiveADay, you are correct. Only 20% of the Chinese characters are 4, 000 years old. But the oldest characters are pictographs, that is, a combination of radicals that present an idea or tell a story. You are correct that the character 口 means "mouth" but it also refers to a whole person and is understood as such. In the same way that we might say in English: "I have five mouths to feed" would mean five people.

This is very sweet and healing to know that 4 thousand years ago the Chinese Emperor had worship the Biblical Creator God of Israel. I pray something big with Supernatural will happen in China revealing the Biblical God of Israel. When I use to visit for a walk about there never used to be anyone else about. Look up the famous book about the Gospel in the characters. It’s about 50 years old.

Many cultures lost the original connection to God. Somewhere along the line for one reason or another they stopped worshipping God and replaced God with a human. They considered the human as God. The Chinese have documented the birth and death of Jesus. They read the signs in the stars. Even the date is documented. But they applied these signs to their human God instead.
