Thousands of Russians appeared to join a call by opposition figures, including Aleksei Navalny before his death, to participate in "Noon Against Putin" protests at polling stations amid a presidential election engineered to deliver Vladimir Putin six more years in the Kremlin. Long lines of people formed in Moscow, St. Petersburg, and elsewhere.

I humbly applaud the Russians who dare standing up against the murderous tyranny they are living in.
I must admit that I am extremely lucky to have been born into a pretty free society.
Sending you loads of warm thoughts. I know it doesn't mean much, but I can't change anything.
Cheers from Denmark

They still have Gulag memorial museums. It is a matter of time that they will be gone.

May the swell for freedom in Russia grow. Remember the sacrifices of Mr. Navalny's and others for whom Russia came first and self second.

0:30 That’s such an important point of view. Someday Putin will be gone, and future generations will wonder what Russians did at this time. And the Russians who came out today can proudly say they stood for a free Russia 🇷🇺 👍

I couldn't help but read the sign on the building where you went to vote . Talk about a veiled threat to the Russian voters entering . What a sad period in Russian history but then, when was there ever a happy time for Russia or the Soviet Union.

I'm worried these people's arrests will be used to draft them.

I have nothing but respect for those people who want a change in Russia. Why should they suffer under a leadership that only thinks for himself. If I could vote to help change their outlook I would.

Is this the dawn of a new Russian revolution to free Russia from another 6 or even 12 years of Putler's regime?! This would have made the hero Navalny proud! 👏🗺️
