Ryan Nyquist was in my house. Obviously you guys all realize that I love Nyquist. He's the ultimate ambassador for BMX on pretty much every level annnnnd he's factually just a good human. Ryan was in town to fulfill his duties as Freestyle BMX Olympic Coach, but squeezed some time to come hang out with Dennis and I. Two full hours blew by as we ran through some Olympic talk and venturing into Mirra/Golden days stuff. We really only scratched the surface with Nyquist, so expect a part two next time he's in town...

Nyquist has stayed relevant through almost three generations of completely different BMX eras.

Over 20 yrs of experience, multiple medals multiple disciplines of bmx, plus this is the guy who can put it together with one chance to do it on his last run and win multiple times. USA couldn't have picked a better Coach for the freestyle team.

Anyone else remember the Keith Terra / Nyquist drama? I wanna say 97-98 era. Hilarious, they even made "i hate Terra/Nyquist" t-shirts! Pre social media life was awesome, i mostly miss magazines. Ride was my bible as a kid.

Ryan is such a genuine person. 1998 in Rockford IL at The Pit. He helped me figure out how to ride the mini spine. He was super cool.

I don't think anyone has been better for BMX. Always so interesting to here "stories from ryan". You could make that a weekly clip. Dude could tell endless stories. So good

Loved seeing Ryan re-create that vintage Jason Enns clip. Would love to see more of that. So fun to see riders looking back at the past and playing around with those tricks.

The love was real for Mirra at Nora in such a core setting. Surely needs a part 2 about Nyquist.

If there's a part 2 you gotta talk about that period back when it seemed like every kid had a Haro Mirra or Backtrail complete... That had to be some serious money.

As a young fella, I remember wanting a Haro Blammo after seeing Nyquist plastered all over the place riding a yellow one. The dude's a legend.

Nyquist is the man and I am so glad he has been around the sport as long as he has. Really enjoyed his stories and insights to the Miracle Boy & Nyquist era. Great podcast guys, keep it up! This shit gets me through work
