Love the Craftsman screwdriver. Now my scrap idol has the same one as me!!! I love that thing. Also, I have seen people take the little pieces of copper in the motor body out. Glad you are safe up there!!!

Nice vid Phil...another way to remove that copper off of those spools is to smash them flat. The plastic collapses easy

I learned two new things about stripping those from the video. I'll have to try them out. It's funny how you see someone do it one way, and you start doing it that way until you see someone do it with a better way 🙂

I love when you scrap the motors, good trick to just use the screwdriver

That blue handle screwdriver you were using, I got one during my apprenticeship in the late 1960s and I still use it .a lot, but never as a screwdriver. Cold weather doing strange stuff, yep, don’t leave your bench vice screwed up tight for along period in freezing weather, they are known to snap across the jaw.
