Etsy Message Auto Reply - Star Seller Approved!

Etsy has a weekly auto-reply feature for messages that allows you to only send auto-replies outside of your normal hours, and the auto-reply counts for the star seller requirement!

Hey, Jeff! Thanks for the info! Something related that I thought you might want to share with your subscribers: Did you know that if you purchase an item with the same account that you sell with, get a message from a seller and don't reply within 24 hours, it counts against your Star Seller rating? Etsy insists that this is clearly stated in their rules and regs, but I sure couldn't find it. I only see references to communicating with buyers within 24 hours. I'm a new seller, so it stung a bit when this happened to me.

Hi Jeff. Your video was really helpful, especially for new sellers like me. I wanted to know if you are selling to customers in a different country, does Etsy convert your hours to their hours and do it automatically?

I actually purposely set my 'normal business hours' as 12am to 8am (Damn thing forces you to use 8 hours), every day. Because I prefer the auto reply to trigger during the day time when its more likely people will ask a question. And I am always out and about, even during 'office hours' - grocery shopping, house duties etc; I'm not always planted in my office ready for every single buyer's message. Works great for me.
