Why doesn't Rode include an instruction manual that has some useful detail? It took me two hours of searching videos like this to learn how to change the channel. It is not an intuitive product. At least you mention it at the end of this video.

I looked at several videos on how to get the system to work and link and yours was the only one that explained now to change channels. Prior I couldn't get the channel to change at all. It was completely stuck on 8.
Can you believe I watched three videos by credible presenters and NOT ONE actually mentioned how to select different channels--like you did.
The instructions were terrible. I sat for over an hour trying to figure out why I couldn't make them couple and send a signal.
The paper work was a small sheet in absurdly microscopic print and there were several languages crowded into that small page. Whats more, even though unit was factory sealed there was no foam cover for the microphone and no mounting device for the microphone...luckily I had a few from other lavalier mics.
FINALLY I got the system going. Thanks to you---but no thanks to what Rode provided in the box.

Just received the product. it is very easy to use and very lightweight. I mainly use it for my conference and seminar. Hopefully, it will work well with this setup.

It doesn' t work to change the Channel. And when I take trial films there is no speak on it - just a heavy stormy noise. :-(

I just purchased this mic. I don't know how to attached the shirt clip to the mic. Why you did not include instruction in the manual or in this video? Can someone help me either with photo showing how it is connected or in a video? thanks.

does the springy receiver to camera audio cord (the one as first seen on the left of frame) come in the box?

I've been using the system for several years now and love it, but today I wanted to change channels on the RECEIVER and am having great difficulty. The great advantage I've had in the past is, when I use my Sennheiser MD46 wireless microphone for interviews like at high school reunions, it worked with the Rodelink receiver—which was a pleasant surprise. But today I want to have the same channel on that Sennheiser MD 46 mic as my other Rodelink transmitter and receiver using my three channel splitter. Why can't I change channels on the RodeLink RECEIVER as easy as the transmitter?

Do RODE or any 3rd party manufacturers make replacement belt clips for the mic packs?

We use these and the clips often come off when the talent removes them which makes them very easy to lose so having replacement clips on hand would be good.

Thank you for the introduction in this video. I just purchased the filmmaker kit from Amazon in India and have a query regarding the Mic cable and the detachable Micon system that comes at the other end of the Microphone. In all product reviews of the FMK on YT and on your site, I notice that the pin at the other end of the Mic cable is detachable such that other types of Micons can be attached in its place, however the Mic that I have received does not have this feature. The pin is fixed and cannot be removed. Is this a genuine product, or has RODE changed the product now?

For anyone looking to this video for how-to in 2019, you CANNOT connect two Transmitters (TX) to one Receiver (RX). This basically renders these useless if you're trying to video more than one person on camera at once.

The receiver in my kit doesn't switch on. Its plugged into the camera and the camera is powered on. Is there something I should be doing apart from pressing the on button??!!

Just received my Rodelinks and I have a few questions.

1) My box has a picture of a girl wearing a white top on one side. Have I got the latest system?

2) I have connected my Rode RX to my Canon 1DX and did some test footage and I found there was always some background noise. I set my camera sound levels one notch above zero with the RX set to zero db gain. The TX was set to +20 db gain.

When I watched my levels on the camera they looked just right, coming in right around the recommended setting of -12 db. However there is that hiss/hum that I can pick.

All the online tests that I have seen sound really good but mine is not as good. Any recommendations on how to fix this.
