Russia's First Analogue of McDonalds Has Finally Opened

1 Year after the last McDonald's closed in Russia a new chain of Restuarants has opened in direct competition. "100 by Miratorg" is the direct replacement and Analogue of McDonalds. I take for a tour of the restaurant and give a first hand taste test on the 2nd day of the place being open.

Come to Sweden or Norway and you guys will move to Russia in a heartbeat.
A minimum salary for a McDonald's employee in Sweden is $1650, after tax $1213.
A standard Big Mac meal (medium drink and medium fries) in Sweden is $9, 5.
That equals 127 Big Mac meals (1213/9, 5) with that salary.

A minimum salary for a McDonald's employee in Norway is $1709, after tax $1295.
A standard Big Mac meal (medium drink and medium fries) in Norway is $9.8 - $10, 70.
That equals around 126 Big Mac meals (1295/10, 3) with that salary.

Now to Russia. We could see at the beginning of the video that the minimum salary for a Russian employee at "McDonald's" is 90, 000 rubles = $976 and as I understood, after reading a lot of comments, in Russia they display salaries like that after taxes. As I can't read Russian I just took the first example I saw in the video. There was a full meal displaying on the screen for 389 Rubles. 389 Rubles = $4, 2.
That equals 232 meals (976/4, 2) with that salary.

Summary:
While Russian employees can buy 232 meals with their salaries Norwegian and Swedish employees can only buy 126-127 meals.
That is 83% more for the Russian employee, my friends. Interesting how they lie so much in the media just to keep us misinformed. Our governments are doing a great job of keeping us under their control.

I refuse to eat the junk food that is served here in the UK.
The quality of the ingrediants leaves a lot to be desired.

100 is spelled "STO" in Russian, it sounds like a quiet popular abbreviation "С.Т.О. - станция технического обслуживания" what means "technical service station", so maybe there is some analogy

Some people in the west thought McDonald's leaving Russia was a big deal. Anybody can make a burger so it doesn't matter if McDonald's stays or goes.

В Беларуси Макдональдс заменил Макбай, я не особо поклонник, зато у нас появилось вместо Макдональдс много другой вкусной еды, например, белорусы во всю осваивают паназиатскую и грузинскую кухню. I find it amazing that they serve "Сырники" (Cottage cheese buns/pancakes). I think that's a great idea to integrate traditional Russian cuisine with western-style fastfood. Maybe you can try those next time you visit it?

Sorry, Russell, if I suddenly missed it, and you already showed it (but it would be nice if not) the Karavaev Brothers restaurant chain! This is where the real Russian answer to American McDonald's is! Much tastier, much more choice of dishes! and most importantly - healthy (except for desserts and flour) food.

Try their buckwheat with vegetables and mushrooms!
