What the hell happened to the Lamborghini Estoque?

It is arguably the prettiest concept car of all time, so why did it never make it to production? The Lamborghini Estoque would have been a stunning alternative to the Ferrari 612 Scaglietti or the Porsche Panamera... so what happened?

Would’ve been interesting to see what effect it had on the automotive market if it did show up. Probably not much but could’ve given some of the other exotics reason to pause.

It's a shame more companies don't put more concept cars like this out in limited runs to test the market.
But, in the future, the Estoque as a Tesla-S Plaid killing EV saloon would be a beast...

When I first saw this it instantly became my dream car. Was so gutted it never went into production, fingers are still crossed it'll return one day though

The concept I would love to see made it into production is the Alfa Romeo Stradale 33 Visione.
The Estoque here is also fantastic, and so is the Jaguar CX75.

This car can co-exist with the Panemera and the Flying Spur in the same way that the Urus lives happily alongside the Caynene and the Bentayga.

Are we forgetting when they also designed the Asterion? Making it look like they were joining McLaren, Porsche and Ferrari in the hybrid supercars game but then they were like "nah, let's make an SUV"
