The Final 2 Fighters - Predictions (SSBU Fighters Pass 2)

There are only 2 more fighters planned to become playable for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate (that we know of), and in this video, I give my predictions for who I think are the most likely characters to fill the roll of the final 2 DLC slots of Fighters Pass Vol. 2.

I have a theory that's pretty far out there. But, like many of us, we are all pretty surprised how little Namco characters/content we've gotten over the years. Since Smash 4 to now, Pac-Man is still the only Namco rep. Here's why I think that might be the case. So we know Namco is helping developing Smash 4, and now Ultimate, which Nintendo paid the company (most likely huge numbers) to do. Because of that, maybe we haven't been seeing much Namco content because Nintendo doesn't want to pay the company any more than they already have to get a new rep? It's quite a wild theory, I know. But I'm just thinking about Smash from the business side of things. It's all about making a profit in the end.


Of course, I'd really like to be proven wrong about this because I really want a Tales of rep, mostly Lloyd.

How do you feel about a second WarioWare rep?

So far, we have the voice acting of Nintendo characters with characters from Kid Icarus: Uprising, Fire Emblem Awakening, Fire Emblem Fates, Fire Emblem: Three Houses, Xenoblade Chronicles and Xenoblade Chronicles 2 in various Smash 4 and Ultimate reveal trailers.

All that's left is WarioWare Gold. Nintendo and Sakurai would want us fans to remember the new voices of WarioWare characters too by adding one in Smash and having the other characters talk in his/her trailer, wouldn't they?

I think Sora and Lloyd are the characters we should keep an eye on for the last spot. I think it’s gonna be a RPG character, and the last two big RPG series not in smash is Kingdom Hearts and Tales of. Not to mention that Sora and Lloyd are similar design wise, with the red jackets and brown spiky hair. So I think those two in particular should be considered heavily in our speculation moving forward. Also Crash next for sure.

Crash and Lloyd are, to me, the safest picks, which makes me really hesitant to commit to them. They're too obvious! But that doesn't mean it won't happen, of course. Just that my gut tells me something's wrong.

As a side note, I wouldn't rule out 1st party characters. I think I stated this on another one of your videos, but Sakurai doesn't really care about "ending on a high note." Or at least his decisions would lead me to believe this. So if the last two fighters were Rayman and Decidueye, I really wouldn't be too shocked, and the latter could tie in to Pokemon Legends coming out early(?) next year. Ryu Hayabusa, of course, does deserve some attention as a realistic choice, as does Dante from DMC and really a lot more characters than people are giving credit to. Dr Eggman, perhaps? Klonoa? Some other Tales of rep (like Yuri Lowell or Velvet Crowe) I'd genuinely rule nothing out for this pass. Except of course characters better known outside of gaming than inside.
