I actually auditioned the project Evo 2. I eventually went for the Rega Planar 3, which at the time was nearly £200 more, but in a different class for me, well worth the extra. I would advise any potential turntable buyers to do their homework, research, audition everything, just because somebody says something, doesn't mean its correct, they are no more qualified than you or I, this has always been the case with audio equipment especially with reviewers and high street outlets.

I heard the Nia at the weekend at the Edinburgh hifi show. It was used with the new Cyrus amps. Very good

I have the rega p8 which I love, such a jump up in performance compared to lower cost models, I had the p2 before

I just bought a new 1210GR2 and the Technics is a great STILL has "platter wobble" QC issues on almost every single unit. But aside from that, great TT.
