Sorry, Jordan. This isn’t about wokeism but about centuries old geopolitical tension. Western Europe fears Russia and Russia fears the west. It has been like this since the days of Peter the Great. Like two big brothers with a strong love-hate relationship. To bring wokeism into this is oversimplifying the situation. Some of the least ‘woke’ countries in the world, like Poland and Hungary, are vehemently opposed to Russian territorial expansion.

Oh and in the European context please don’t present liberalism and conservatism as a dichotomy… the liberal parties ARE the conservatives in most of Europe.
