If the PBOC were to defend the HKD with their own measures and retaliation such as going into the US security market and Treasury market, why can the FED defend the US market and become buyer of last resource!!! They need the USD not the US. And we can squeeze their economy which will cause a bank run!!!!

They can’t retaliate against the us; that’s what happens when you engage in one way trades. China has lopsided real estate markets with 2, 3 empty houses. Matter of time Japanese style crash!
