** Please note that I noticed I incorrectly mislabeled the left image. I used the 100-400mm Canon until I needed to be wider and then switched over to 24-105 kit lens. Even though the "lens" is mislabeled, the focal length is correct.

This is an evaluation of the Tamron 28-300mm f/3.5-6.3 Di VC PZD as compared to the Canon EF 100-400mm f/4.5-5.6L IS II USM Lens & Canon 24-105 lens. The same subject was shot on each lens at the same focal lengths and f-stops to evaluate the image quality of the Tamron lens against a known lens. Of note, to get the same field of view at 300mm and 200mm on the Tamron, a different focal length was needed on the Canon lens as noted in the on screen titles. This version is 4K with the video captured side-by-side for comparison. Yes...watch it fullscreen on a 4K monitor for best results.

Tamron is a veteran actor who steals focus. The 16-300 can only achieve the effect of 210mm, and this 28-300 is a magic modification of the 16-300!

210mm on canon matches 300mm on tamron in size..deal breaker if long end is important
