I used a RV325 for quite awhile at home and it was very nice.

I accidentally bricked it (my fault) during a firmware update on a Sunday night at 7PM and had someone on the phone and a replacement unit on its way to my house within 20 minutes after a couple of troubleshooting tasks they had me perform.

Overall I am a big fan of the Cisco Small business SG250/SG350 switches and the current RV line of routers. I've had 4 SG250-26P switches installed at our offices now for a couple of years and other than reboots for firmware updates they are never rebooted and do everything we need them too with no issues. I also have 2 of the SG250-26P switches and a SG350-28P switch at home and again no issues.

I now have a couple of HP switches at my house as well (a 1950 and a 2930F) that I bought as I like to tinker and they have both been good so far except the Cisco and even EdgeSwitch interfaces are better. The 2930F is especially bad, however, it's more meant for CLI control from what I've been told rather than the GUI.

I also have 3 Netgear GS510TP switches at home and they have been great as well except that the interface is from 1999 LOL. The VLAN configuration process is absolutely HORRIBLE in them compared to any of my other switches, however, it does work.

I had to reboot my ES-16-XG the other day after 65 days of up-time because it decided to not pass traffic for some reason over a single LAG after I rebooted the remote switch. Every other LAG was fine except for one of them. Rebooting the EdgeSwitch fixed it...no idea why but it's never had a problem until then.

This looks much better than the Cisco devices we have at my work. Ubiquiti still has a place in my heart

Good job. I am a Cisco small business user and I use the RV340 router because I run a Cisco layer 3 switch for many years.

The newer Cisco enterprise boxes have micro / mini USB console ports along with old style console ports.

Negative points for not having a screw-in power supply connector to the unit like the SG-3100.

Had a RV320 in production at a customers site. One day when looking through the logs I found that the whole config had been dumped in plain text as part of an attack vector. Cisco had a new version of firmware that addressed this but it had only been out about 2 weeks and had already had the config dumped 4-5 times. This included admin, VPN, DYNDNS and Gmail account credentials. Needless to say it's now in the truck as a temporary hot-swap router and where not buying any Cisco RV series routers.

I, for one, would love a video on how you set up the VPN between the Cisco and the EdgeRouter.

I like that hardware spec, number of switch ports with 2 x WAN & POE support.
Like you I havent touched Cisco since early 2000's.

Yes, a separate video on Cisco Umbrella would be great.

Yes. We are definitely interested in how to set up a VPN. 'Site to site' and 'client to site'.

3:01 you can't threaten people with that, it doesn't make sense that a warranty won't be given if you don't buy it from an official supplier. In Australia, this is illegal, you have to provide a warranty for a product and it has to be reasonable, which is written into law. So if someone sells you a Cisco router, it automatically has a 'statutory warranty' based on the price and type of product which overrides any warranty they might list even on the product page, and the retailer must honour that warranty.

OMG all that functionality!!! It even has a PPTP VPN!!! I wish my PFSense box that costs a third of this price would have all that.
