The first actual advice I came across on YouTube

I have been working as a designer for 6 years now but I still come and watch these sorts of videos because I want to be the best. Consume everything and anything related to design and practice like crazy. The advice in this video is really great.

Great video! I’m in a UX bootcamp right now and since the beginning I started using Figma and that’s it, so now I see other students struggling on using design tools because they bounced around from one to another. And just like you said, the way I’ve learned how to create UI designs is by replicating what’s out there. Always appreciate your videos.

Great video Mike, very appropriate topic for a lot of newcomers just getting into the UX field right now with everyone working from home 🔥

Thank you for the video it was very helpful. Just started to educate myself on UX Design, started free courses and I'm learning how to use Figma. lots of patience in watching videos and copying apps and website designs. Started to make a clothing Website for fun, everything has been going great because of the content you put out! TYTY

This is a great advise in how to start, I went to school for Multimedia and Web design development, and I like both coding and grahic design. I love to design more and wanted to go for UI/UX design route. Thanks!

Hi mike, thanks for being so active and uploading UX videos. I’m also a student at ML academy. I’ve been applying to UX jobs but it is soo hard to break into. Rather than giving us motivation advices (which I appreciate), the reality is the ridiculous amount of “experience” the industry wants from junior designers. They want 5+ years from junior designers. Hopeful designers like myself are feeling hopeless and losing confidence that we can actually transition to UX. Please advise on this issue and give us a REAL and effective advice that will truly help us break into the world of UX. Thanks!

The YouTube algorithm brought me to another one of your videos from 2017 and you're in the exact same spot, same shirt and facial hair. Tbh I thought the video was from the same day. Awesome video as always man!

Mike - loved the video. I spent years on end in architecture (the one with bricks and mortar) only to discover UX very recently. Immediately fell in love with the subject as it connects all the dots for me: functional design, based on data, human centered embedded in man-machine interaction psychology and fast paced. I want to go full on and switch but slightly concerned about the age gap - I'm 44. Would I be seen by the industry as a mammoth to be gently put down out of its misery?

9:28 That would be for getting a job in design agency but what if we don't want a job in the agency but get our clients and bild own design business? What would be the best approach to get there?
