Inspired by the work I was accomplishing through What's Hot In Tucson, in early 2009 my father decided to put in a display case at the upcoming 2010 TGMS Show. I contacted Show Chairman Peter Megaw and was able to secure a nice case in a good location for him - then the work began.

My father spent the next year going through his inventory and building a Rough & Cut collection out of the material he had on hand. All cut stones were cut during that year with my father doing all the cabochons himself.

By early 2010, he was ready and put his, newly-created collection, on display. Of course his long-time friend David Wilber interviewed him on the case for the 2010 edition of What's Hot In Tucson (I'll re-post that interview soon). The overall response was very favorable and my father returned home to California a very happy man.

After the 2010 show, that collection was boxed, put away and almost forgotten about. Almost.

Beginning in 2016, I started filming the collection so that we had a documentation of everything he created. We like to consider this as one of the final gifts that my father left behind for his four grandchildren.

So, little by little, I'll be releasing video footage of the different pieces in the collection for everyone to enjoy.
