The way I view reparations: I.E. If you discovered a drug co. was responsible for killing your child, or some other family member or causing a life long disability, and the disability could be genetically passed on to other children. You WOULD SUE THE HELL OUT OF THE DRUG COMPANY!! The payment for reparations is basically like a lawsuit, for the struggle of black people to become equal in wealth, education, etc. as modern white folks. For generations they have struggled because of what happened, their ancestors were never compensated for damages. The damage cost should go directly to current families and if it bankrupts the U.S., then TOO The current white race is living the benefits of there ancestors who used slavery for financial gain.

For a person who was actually born on this day a very special day for me especially because I actually really have former slaves in my family and know the names of the former slave masters! We do not need reparations because what you are saying is that we are so ignorant that all you have to do is appease us with money! Grow up and learn that there is no Nation on this Earth that hasn't been enslaved
