So nice to know that avocado freezes well.  I buy as many as 15 avos at a time.  They are hard and I leave them on my kitchen counter for several days, until they just begin to soften.  Then I put them in the frig crisper.  They usually stay perfect for about 2 - 3 weeks.  However, my last batch started to get a bit too soft.  That brought me to the idea of freezing them.  So, I took 8 avos and removed the seed and skin and I placed them in a large mixing bowl.  I used a potato masher to consolidate.  Then I used plastic wrap, cut into about a foot square.  Then I scooped about the amount of 1 avo into the center and shaped it about 4 x 4 x 3/4 inch.  Then I basted it with fresh lemon juice.  And when I wrapped it, the avo was air tight.  I made eight of these and placed them stacked in the freezer, to take out one at a time.   Thank you so much for your video clip...

All you need to do is put it in a metal pot with a lid and put it in the refrigerator and I promise you it will be fresh even after a week ...I accidentally found this out awhile back and it works perfectly every time

The browning on a cut avocado doesn't go very deep. When it happens, I just scrape off the surface or cut 1/4" off, which is tidier. But good video with good tips. I too, however, wonder how quickly the frozen avocado browns when thawed.

An underripre avocado, by contrast, can be ripened at home if stored at room temperature in a paper bag for a couple of days together with a few bananas in the same bag.
Be sure to save the nut or seed and grind it into rolled oats ot other such preparations.

What about when frozen avocado thaws? Does it turn brown quickly? Is the texture OK?

Olive oil while keeping the pit in the unused half works MUCH better than this

Can you tell me how to pick out an avocado in the store that isn't rotten inside? So tired of wasting my money on rotten black inside avocados.

I'll try your tips, all at once. I'll submerge a ½ avocado in lemon juice, cut line facing down, inside a container with the lid on, all this inside a zip lock. Will report later
