Hi my bead-i-ful people! If you’ve made French beaded flowers, then you probably have a love/hate relationship with lacing. I’ve released a video on the various ways of lacing a few years back and taught all the ways in my book. I’ve expanded on this method before but think this bear repeating for newer viewers. I’ve started lacing my flowers using a modified lace-as-you-go method and this is the only way I lace and teach in my newer tutorials and videos.

Hi Fen I have been following your work for quite a long time thank you so much for sharing your videos. I have used your lacing technique with a little quirk to the finish. When on the last round to secure and finish the lacing i thread the lacing wire through a couple of beads on the working wire close the gap snip the lacing wire and continue to finish the leaf/petal. This way the lacing wire will not unravel or snag on anything. Hope this makes sense. Look forward to many more of your videos.👍

This is awesome!!!! I'm new to French Beaded Flowers and I didn't have a love/hate relationship with lacing. I had a hate/hate even more relationship with lacing. My attempts at lacing looked terrible. I had to rip it out and start over many times. My eyesight isn't perfect and seeing the proper hole for the wire gave me fits. I love this method. Not only is it easier and neater, but when I finish a leaf it is really finished!!! Thank you so much for all your videos. I have learned so much.
