I read a comment yesterday by a man who stated that JP was pessimistic. And some might try to say, see he is (by what he is saying in this post) but what he is saying is strictly fact! There is no pessimism or optimism to it. We can't avoid stress or problems, they'll always be a part of life.

Pick the suffering that will lift you up and make proud of yourself.
The point is in the meaning.
I watched bushmans in Africa they hunt and animale until it gets tired that means 12 hours running behind the animal under the hot sun.But the whole thing means survival for the entire tribe.
There is good suffering and bad suffering and depends on the reward that you receive from your "tribe" usually coworkers and family

We pick our future suffering cause we don't speak up when people are vile before us. That will speed up the rate at which we have it before and we don't correct people and we will suffer for that in the future and cultures get lost*
