So alone and yet connected to others by our common humanity is the message of this video on one level. Kevin Rowland's usual attention to detail is here and courtesy of the director, of course. The Greatest Love of All, indeed. Whitney Houston's version is powerful but this video and the song gives it wings.

I bought the My Beauty album twenty years ago and still marvel at the brilliance of the interpretations therein. This song and the rest of the album is not karaoke as one comment below says, far from it. Kevin pays emotional tribute to songs of meaning for him and I recall he also said in an interview that these songs helped him in troubled times. In one he says the song resonated with him because it was the opposite of how he felt- the video appears to depict this sentiment. In these bleak days, The Greatest Love of All is just the uplift we all need.
