ENTP and INTJ Conversation: Different Working Styles

preview_player
Показать описание
An ENTP and INTJ have a conversation. They have different working styles.

The INTJ wants to share his new ideas that he has spent time developing. The ENTP is open to hearing the new idea... but then quickly changes the topic.

INTJs use Introverted Intuition (Ni), and often like to focus on developing and refining a few good ideas at time.
ENTPs use Extraverted Intuition (Ne), and in comparison to Ni users, they tend to sort through many new ideas and consume a lot of information from external sources, and spend less time focusing on a particular idea. For the ENTP, the INTJ here sort of functions as just another "external source" of information. Once the ENTP has "consumed" the new information from the INTJ, she is done talking to him; she has "consumed" what he has to say, and doesn't want to work with him to refine the ideas further. This difference in working styles can cause conflict in work settings.

In my experience the ENTP always was the first to tell his ideas. And I combined it with my idea and/or sorted out the best (for what we appreciate each other). But beware of the discussions of Ti vs Te. If each other thinks the the other way is wrong.

As an ENTP who's friends with some INTJs this is very accurate. I keep on thinking too fast and come up with ideas out of the blue to briefly discuss them with them, while they are confused about me not thoroughly discussing my ideas step by step. I on the other hand prefer to randomly share ideas to just get them out there and think about them by my own in my alone time later on to sort out which idea is the best and most logical one.
Now I kinda feel bad for all of my INTJ friends 🗿

NeTi is moving on because they realized several seconds into the NiTe explanation that the idea wasn't plausible. They've moved on to things that could potentially work instead of spinning pointlessly on the impossibility.

Ne just happened, fellow Ni dom.

INTJ straight to the point. ENTP talking about the idea of ideas being a good idea.
Me INFJ; I started working on my own idea, already, because you were both taking too long.

I always want to provide multiple ideas and then go into depth in each one to find out which is the best

These are exactly all my (enfj) discussions with my mom (enfp). It's Ne versus Ni. At least now I start to understand she wants to hear what I've considered and she knows now I am sometimes getting overwhelmed with all her new idea's as I am trying to solve a problem and can't use all of them. Also she sometimes adds to the stress with new problems or things I need to think of or do 🤣.

As an Inxj it is hella annoying but when I am doing something creative somehow my mind turns into a ne tornardo

Do ISTP and INTP or ISTP and ISFP or INTP and INFP or all of them 🤔

that looks and feels annoying. I dont think this is related to MBTI but rather an ability to listen to someone. Ability to listen.

I want the reverse of this interaction too, when a different type w/o Ne and Ti in first 2 slots comes to an xNTP with an idea and you point out (what seems to you) a VERY obvious way the idea is vulnerable and then people get furious at you like you just slapped them across the face.

I didn’t, you came to me with an idea, I gave you another idea attached to that concept that would make it stronger and now you’re offended at me for trying to help.

You didn’t want to brainstorm; you wanted to be patted on the head and validated. I’m happy to care for others emotions and wellbeing, but why else are you telling me the idea unless you need/want either my help or someone else’s help in the process to achieve it?

I’m not helping you build s—t if you ignore my advice on its design. I value you enough to listen to your ideas, I expect that to be reciprocated.

I'm a little perplexed by this one, but I think that's because I'm confused by the premise. Were they trying to solve a problem, or were they just talking about stuff?

Because if they were trying to solve a problem, sifting through the ideas to find the best one, and rejecting ones that didn't fit the parameters after days of thinking over the problem should have happened with a few simple questions. And if they were just talking about stuff, well, I guess the ENTP wasn't that into the INTJ's idea.

Yep, sums up my past relationship pretty well. Those who really believe INTJ and ENTP go great together need to burn in hell.
