Schradieck I Etude I 🎻INTONATION (Viola) 3of5

Hi everyone!

Welcome to the Schradieck 1 Etude 1 which is a 5 part series on INTONATION...(see my channel playlist page for ALL the playlists)

Today we are doing lines 9-12 of Schradieck Etude 1!! We are working on intonation and solidifying the Basic Hand Pattern.✨🎻

VIOLA

Today we will be focusing on INTONATION and the BASIC HAND PATTERN which outlines the notes (D E F# G A) on the D string.

Grab your instrument, put in your headphones or turn on your speaker, because we're about to get a viola workout together🤩🎻

The practice routine this week is lines 9-12 of Etude 1

4 bows per note at 84

2 bows per note at 72

1 bow (as written) at 60

If these bowing are too fast for you, just hold a single bow for the repetition.

Try it out and tell me you don't notice a difference in your left hand muscle memory, your ear's ability to hear the pitch, your reading abilities...even your bow and tone should benefit!!
