I love my Buck Knives but I do not understand the amount of time invested in the development of this knife. Then $700 for this knife feels so crazy

Looking back now at this amazing, historical insight. Having this new Buckmaster is an honor.

Why not use Magnacut for a dive knife it's even more stainless.

The 184 was shown in great detail and used exclusively in the 1986 movie "Band of The Hand". I still have my 184, which I got as a gift for my 11th birthday from my parents back in 1985. They paid $150.00 for it brand new. I'm actually thinking of selling it. How much is a 184 in great condition worth now?

Do you finance? Because that ain’t budget friendly.

420HC at that price? Magnacut is almost as tough, more corrosion resistant, and much better edge retention. 14C28N is tougher with more corrosion resistance, oh also a tiny bit more edge retention. LC200N is more corrosion resistant while being tougher and having the same edge retention. You're actually saying that a hole in the blade isn't a weakness?

You're dad didn't want to make a fighting knife? But wasn't Buck partnering with Phrobis at the same time to make the M9 bayonet?

First of all if the new knife is going to cost 800$ then that is ridiculous! I haven't checked. With that said It does look like a very nice knife! I would love to see Buck do another sawback survival knife! Same shape blade as the 184 but better saw! [And Yes You Can Make A Sawback That Saws! Others Have Done It!] Blade, Guard, and Handle all one piece! Better Steel now than 425 mod! G-10 scales! Serrations on the blade optional! No hollow handle! FULL TANG! TRUE SURVIVAL KNIFE FOR THE WOODS -WILDERNESS!

I’d rather spend that much money on a firearm way to much money for a knife

Omg, if I hadn't just dropped $600 on SL 2 from BR I've been waiting 4 years for...I would definitely give you my money. Please tell me you'll make more later. My current dive knife is a spyderco warrior, because it will never rust and it's perfect for slicing open sea cukes and scallops. Unfortunately, it's so thin it's useless for anything other than slicing, I need a beefier dive blade, I live the idea of anchoring myself in currents so I don't have to out holes in gloves holding onto rocks.

Another novelty that is way to much money.
How can you justify the price Buck knives, shame on you!
There is way too much money involved in knife collecting these days due to the fact there are way to many greedy knife companies, no wonder so many people are choosing to buy Chinese knives especially when they can make better knives with better materials for a fraction of the price.
Time for the USA knife manufacturers to wake up and stop ripping us all off. If they don't they will be going the way of the dinosaurs.
