people act like this happened because of a couple missed shots, or because he was having one bad game - it's been all season and it finally boiled over when the team started losing a lead to the tanking rockets with him bricking layups. we got a late 1st round sophomore and a former bench player from dallas who have consistently proven to be better options than tobi with a max contract.

if it was one bad game - no, he doesn't deserve to be booed. but he should be booing himself at this point

I didn't even really get that bothered when embiid shushed the crowd because he's been putting this team on his back. Last time I checked tobias wasn't getting double-teamed every time he touches the ball inside the three point line. And this whole thing is going to continue the national narrative that "philly fans mean" even though every other fanbase does shit like this.

Enough Tobias hate already. I have completely tuned out of Philly NBA with the irrational hate against Tobias by an uniformed fan base.
His salary is ALMOST irrelevant. He is still one of the best stretch 4s in the NBA. Every team would love to have him on their. Thankfully both Doc and Morey love Tobias and he proved why vs. ORL.

He has NOT been playing poorly. His shots have suddenly fallen off the rim, as if he was cursed. Probably attribute it to declining confidence.

And coaching staffs and GMs don't rate players as #1, #2 #3 options. They value total contribution to team and team chemistry. Sure its good to have people who can create a shot in the last 6 minutes. Tobias can do that. Maxey likely can too.
And I trust Niang as much as Curry, to make a shot in clutch minutes.

Almost every NBA team has at least one player who is over paid.
Just be thankful that we don't have any overpaid player who is a bum. Every NBA team would love to have Tobias on their team.

Hopefully those remarks by Tobias were aimed at Ben Simmons, who can't take criticism.

Anyone is salvageable-it’s up to them though. I hope he finds a way to shift his mental out of this slump-for us and for him. Living life in general during these times is challenging-no matter what your job or how much you get paid. This season has been particularly challenging on fans and players. I’m rooting for all the Sixers to support each other and improve.

sorry RB but the same way it's time for Ben to go, it's also time for Harris to go because like you say, he is who he is. Having expectations for someone on a max contract shouldn't be brushed off or excused because that's money that could've gone to get someone else or for better depth. No championship level team has someone on their roster that people would go and say "damn that's a bad contract".

IF we aren't gonna hold Harris somewhat accountable, then i don't wanna hear about slumps for guys who are often killed but role players like Green, Korkmaz, Tisse, etc because they have even less expectations due to even more limited skillsets. you have bench guys who could be more efficient OR outplay the their contracts if they were getting sets run for them as often as Tobias gets. He's highly inefficient and needs to play better end of story. I don't wanna hear he's a good 3rd or 4th option, what max contract player is a 3rd option at best if they went to another team? let alone couldn't step up and be a 2nd option at least?
