Thank you guys for watching! For all of you who go out there, tell me which backpack do you use down in comments. Looking forward to hear answers :)

Great review, mate! I went the middle road from your M and XL - and bought the Jääkäri L myself! It's a really good 'goldilocks' size for me - but mostly I have it full, so the XL may have been a better choice. My gear is rather large and heavy as it's mostly surplus from Varusteleka - fully agreed with your comments on their product descriptions! Btw Jääkäri (jaeger) is the term for infantry in the Finnish military (I am one) and indeed Savotta make the backpacks, tents, sleeping pads, combat belts etc for the army. Absolutely indestructible gear, which is why I use them in the 'reserve' now as well. Merry Christmas!

I just got this bag today for Christmas!!! (I’m a boy scout and love the outdoors) it is very durable and super comfy with weight! Very very good purchase

I use the Wisport Raccoon 45l with two 9l side pockets. I love your channel. Greetings from Bulgaria, stay outdoors 😊

I have that Jääkäri XL also. July 2021 hiked Finnish Lappland for 11 days. Jääkäri had some stuff inside, weight was 34kg when i started 🤭. I have also Bergans Alpinist 110 and Lundhags Gnaur 90. Both are good and robust but Savotta is like those two with steroids.

Edit:
My knee is getting old and I was forced to get lighter stuff(all those "old" backpacks are still in use) so I got myself Osprey Aether Pro 70. 1.8kg and 27kg carrying capacity👌 next longer hike (2weeks long), I hope my gear is 20kg or under

I have one also. I got it so I could bring spearfishing equipment with me on weekend trips. With this bag I dont even feel bad packing my 5 kilo lead weight diving belt with me :)

I was waiting for the backpack to start moving and your kid to jump out of it.

Looks like a great peace of gear.

I got the Wisport Raccoon 85L and she still killing it. I’ve got some pretty nice gear, not the best but it’s ok. It will get me by.

Terrva! I have an old Karrimor SF Sabre 60-100 (pre Molle). It’s a bit heavy but it’s strong and lots of organisation options, especially with two PLCE rocket pouches. Very comfortable internal frame

Been using Savotta XL for a few years now. It has survived the elements, my dog has chewn on it, I've overstuffed it and thrown it around. It's still in perfect condition. I wonder if I'll ever buy another backpack.

I Own the Jääkäri XL also and removed all plastic buckles and Ladder Buckles and replaced them with ultra strong Austri Alpin Cobra Buckles and ladder buckles from aluminum. Now it will probably last forever.😍

I saw Mardingtop 65L backpack on your channel and bought it, great piece of kit and value for the money

I like the wetbag style top on that pack. Looks a bit long for my back so think I might stick with German Bergen. Nice review though 👍

When you have at least 70L of kit in it, is it comfortable and quite breathable due to the external frame.

I have the S, M and L. And all keikkas 🙈
M is brilliant in every way. So much that as long as I can get away with it volume wise I rather take the overloaded M than the L. I did last year's Highlander with the L, this year I am just taking the M 😁 With the new alu frame it's even better. What bothers me about the L is the rolltop. Every time you look for anything inside it it's like going on a caving adventure. Also, the lack of side pockets.
That's why I'll never buy the XL. I imagine it being even worse. Too bad they stopped producing the LJK Modular, that would have been perfect
