Step 1 : Create a new job or use existing job (type : Pipeline)
Step 2 : Create a repository or GitHub
Step 3 : Add Jenkinsfile in the repo
Step 4 : Under Jenkins job > Pipeline section > Select Definition Pipeline script from SCM
Step 5 : Add repo and jenkinsfile location in the job under Pipeline section
Step 6 : Save & Run

One question . As you explained in the previous sessions that we can configure Jenkins to run on any changes in the git. But as now we are reading Jenkins file from Git so are the code check out and polling the git configured in Jenkins file ? itself

Hi, when I add git repo url it shows this:
Failed to connect to repository : Error performing git command: git.exe ls-remote -h

how do I fix this issue? I have already checked and my pipeline plugin and Git plugins are all installed properly.

great explanation! but in the Pipeline section, what is the point of allowing multiple repos and adding multiple branch in Branch Specifier field? When and how would u use that?
