Показать описание
This Jeep had Heated Oxygen Sensor codes (HO2S Codes) P0138 & P0414, indicating the second O2 sensor was not operating properly. We show you in this video how to diagnose the problem properly and why its important to figure out what is actually going on before just swapping parts!

Your explanation was the best I've seen! Especially the way you explained your knowledge from your thoughts to words that I can even understand was very appreciated....thank you!!

Thank you, I have a 1999 Cherokee with a P0138. I was testing for voltage at the connector, it wasn't until your video that I found out that when you key on the 12v only reads for a second. I was turning the key on, then by the time I got to the connector it was reading zero volts. My Cherokee is highly modified and 20 years old I thought for sure I was going to be rewiring this O2 sensor.

Fixed my p0138 and p0141 codes because the green wire was crushed thanks to the last owner but now I have a p0137 I’ve already replaced the sensor. What should I do next?

It’s not a car. It’s a Jeep. Keep the vids coming!! 👌👍

I have a 98 grand Cherokee 4.0 with these same codes and it runs really rough with no power when it throws the code. It doesn’t do it all the time. Not sure a bad downstream o2 sensor would cause a no power rough idle issue.

This is exactly what happened to my jeep I just figured it out because of your video thank you.

Great diagnosis! Most people would just slap a new o2 sensor on there.

I have a 2000 grand Cherokee 4.7 V8. The motor just stalls on its own. The codes it gave me were 0130 and 0136. Which O2 sensor can it be??

Nice instructions thank you: I have a couple things going on with my Dodge 99 5.2 1500 ram.
It keeps coding P0132 high voltage sensor 1/ 1 circuit high
It could be a bad ECM or the ECM wire harness?
And I did find two melted out switches that are in conjunction with the O2 sensors and trans.
One switch has eight wires (IDK ? what it controls) and the nuetral safety switch connection. Both had melted wires back about 1/2 " exposed and bare. I think I should buy a new truck
Or I'm game if you want to take her to burning Man next year LoL

My 2001 Anniversary Edition has no sensor after the cat. All original pipes. Just noticed it after 5 years. Anyone ever see this.

Is this the same configuration in my 97 grand cherokee 5.2 bank 1 sensor 2??

Error 138 means that the oxygen sensor is generating a high signal above 1 volt for a long period of time. This can happen if the sensor is not able to breathe fresh air. The breathing process is happening through the sensor wires. Thus cleaning the wires end can resolve this error code. Also it is possible to make some punches in the wires to let the fresh air getting into the sensor.
