GIANT SCALE twin Turbine RC Northrop Grumman B-2 SPIRIT STEALTH BOMBER jet
The CARF Models B-2 flies at Weston Park International Model Show for the first time. On take off the B-2 inadvertently heads to the right and just gets into the air by virtue of a fortuitous bump in the grass strip. Quick reactions from the pilot on the ailerons steered the jet away and into its ascent to start its display. After several minutes of scale flight the final descent and landing almost turned into disaster with the B-2 touching down a little too early and bouncing off the undulating grass surface. Fortunately the acrobatic flip resulted in minimal damage.

the silhouette of this model in the sky is just purely superb and the sound well just tops it off - hats off to the builder and the way he handles it even on such a high speed hairy landing and an uneven grass surface just awesome just the same hopefully was'nt damaged ! thanks for sharing this with us all Dom much love from the land down under

The full scale one cannot fly without the aid of computers. The fact that this thing gets around the pattern is great.

That is one if not the coolest RC Plane ive ever seen...Only one ive ever seen. Great job of flying on such a rough surface !!!! It appears vry unstable at slow take off and landing speeds! Hates off to the owner/pilot. Take off wasnt easy either...You did a great job...Its a super cool plane!!! You should be very pround...Most people couldnt even attempt to fly that thing!!! Knowing what we do about the aerodynamics of the full scale B-2 I'm thinking that every flight of this model would be incredibly entertaining (for observers that is! For the pilot - a giant scale twin turbine B-2 must possess its own ring in the Dante's RC aircraft circles of hell) enough for its own youtube channel. The aerodynamics are such that the B-2 is constantly on the edge of control with computer assistance keeping it in a (marginal) state of control. I dont know what flight controller the craft was built incorporating, but I'd hope its one with a high processor speed and turn up looptime to highest stable setpoint if it were my personal hellcraft! Impressive plane to see in the air definitely .

A thing of beauty - and a handful, obviously. I wouldn't fly that thing without some artificial yaw stability added to it :) but then again I'm enough of a chicken to not fly even my EDFs without a stall warning/protection
