Every one here is blaming Qualcomm, screen Rez, ram, optimization, specs etc but do you really know why Android has been lossing to iPhone #1.The iPhone has a special chip inside that rivals a solid state drive #2 optimization. Unfortunately due to fragmentation and processor differentiation all the app devs have to make optimized versions for each phone which leaves dev to only do so much because they can't fully optimize it ever for the simple matter of so many different phones.If there was 1 flagship Android phone and had the same specs as a galaxy note 7 it would beat the iPhone by a mile.

Try the Plus, see if that extra gig of RAM makes a difference. To stress that much RAM maybe use more apps than the usual test.

it is around a 10 secs difference if you take the lapse it task out of the equation between them. both are really fast
