The lack of bling is what made the Maverick appealing. Did Ford forget that the original Maverick car was an ECONOMY model of utility and simplicity. All the Maverick really needs is hybrid AWD for those living in adverse climates. Performance, really, how about a manual tranny for those who want some adventure.

Sure glad I bought my 2024 Maverick Lariat. The 2025 sounds a lot like my loaded truck features but my truck has most all the bugs worked out of it. With Ford you always want to buy the last year model before they re-design it. The 2.0 Ecoboost has plenty of power and I get 28mpg combined. A lot of the changes they are making is going against the original concept that made it so popular.

I love my 2022 Maverick XL AWD !! The looks, the simplicity. If the 2025 goes to $40000... you might as well buy a 2024 F-150 XL regular cab! Only $3000 more, has the coyote engine, and all the bells and whistles of the XLT/Lairat Maverick.
