1959 Les Paul Replica

This is my Canadian made Les Paul replica. I waited two years for it and it was well worth the wait! It plays and sounds just as good as my vintage '53/'57 conversion. To date I never found another Les Paul that I liked as much as my conversion until this one. It sounds vintage. The old growth mahogany was sourced decades ago as well as the Brazilian. All vintage correct glues were used in the correct places. Specs and measurements are vintage accurate. Very hard, thin nitro and fast fading analine dye was used as well. Inlays, rings and binding are fabricated from the correct vintage plastics. All the parts are repro vintage. Pickups are my Timbucker Ed A wind in the bridge and Rolph '57 in the neck. This is a pickup combination I used many years ago, I forgot how great they sound together! It was exciting to be involved in this project with the builder, picking the flame from dozens of choices, picking the mahogany, etc.... I wanted the guitar to be a deep cherry more like an original that has only slightly changed color. The light aging and checking looks awesome in person. At 8 1/4lbs (the same weight as my '57 conversion) it is easy on the back and a dream to play!
