Sounds like this guy needs to stick with a Honda.

The kind of guy who shouldn’t own a Cobra. Can u imagine if he bought a Harley motorcycle? It has no roof, it’s hot with the sun out, not much safety, no power steering….. Bottom line is u need testosterone to own a Cobra.

5 things I love about your Shelby Cobra: Everthing, Everthing, Everthing, Everthing, Everthing. 5 things I hate about your Shelby Cobra: Nothing, Nothing, Nothing, Nothing, Nothing.

4:05 common misconception. 289 cars were more successful race cars than 427. 289 also powered the Daytona Coupe that won the World Sportscar Championship. 427 Cobra more iconic? Certainly.

The history on the Cobra is amazing and fascinating. The experience of driving one is visceral. Mine has a 302 370 HP/350FT LBS Blueprint Engine and has fantastic balance.

First off it’s not a “classic car” it’s a replica, it’s built like a classic car but with modern technology. That 351w should have been rebuilt instead of just hucked in there.

If you built the thing instead of just buying it and not putting the effort into it, maybe you’d know the car all the way around and would be able to easily fix or diagnose it, but you just bought it from another guy that took hundreds of hours to build it.

You didn’t do built not bought, you got bought from someone else who built it. Lame.

Convert to a 4 core radiator with high volume e fans and a high volume water pump should run way cooler and should free up HP

You can build a cobra to original spec or you can build some variation of A cobra that ends up being more like a Miata. The closer a car is to spec, the more likely you are to appreciate it. There are manufacturers out there of all types who can build you anything from a basic slabside kit to a full blown monster 427. It’s the details that will ensure your enjoyment, for years to come. I sure can’t imagine selling mine.

Beautiful car!!! I have always loved them and dreamed of owning one!! I just got my 2021 Mach 1 that I had built and I’m in love with it!! Love Mustangs and always have had them!

I’m planning on building one of these soon. From factory 5. I’m going to end up buying fords “Godzilla” crate motor. 2020 7.2L V8 making 440hp stock. It’s actually very well built for bolt ons with stock internals. Throw a hugger throttle body on from a gt350 and you can push north of 550hp on stock internals. It would eliminate all the problems of an “old motor” and be more reliable

All of the engine issues you've mentioned are due to inferior part choice/lack of maintenance. If it's built correctly that rollbar is functional btw and it only covers the driver side because responsible drivers/racers don't drive beyond their limits with a passenger. I've l always love the AC Cobra but the replicas are mostly clout culture trash 👌🏻👌🏻

Your whole 5 reasons why u hate this car!!! Your comparison is apples & oranges. Modern cars are refined. Your car is raw power. No car made today or last 25 years is gonna have the mystic or desire to own as yours

Even the original 427 Cobras were said to have 428s stuffed in some of them.

Awesome looking car mate, the only problem I see is that the steering wheel is on the wrong side, oh and you drive on the wrong side as well :P

I hated the attention I got with my 68 Mustang something I hadn't thought about because I bought the car for me....it replaced the 67 GTA I had as a kid and sold when I went in the Army in 1980. Back then nobody payed any attention to the 67.
Owning the 68 GT was like being a at least the chauffeur of a celebrity...I was like, "Just leave me alone"...I owned it for 17 yrs and just sold it.

I hate to imagine the attention a Cobra would bring, but I plan to build a Factory Five Daytona Coupe kit with the money from the Mustang here we go again....argh...

I grew up working on vintage race cars. I've done several of the kit cars like yours and a couple of real ones
Trust me you don't want a big block I have driven them and they are way too hard to control too much weight in the front.

That car looks like a midstates classic cobra. I own one and love it. The tell tail difference between yours and other makes, such as factory five, back draft, superformance, is the small dog leg at the front of the doors. I have a 408 cubic inch stroker with 525 dyno'ed HP and 532 torque. My car runs at 175 to 180 degrees at all times, even when it is 90 degrees out. I have an aluminum radiator with a spal electric fan mounted on the back side of the radiator, never had a problem with over heating. Hope that info can help you with your overheating problem. Enjoy your car, it is beautiful.

My dad had a 68 GT 500 with the SCJ pack, Never had ANY issues with the engine at all.

Sounds like you don't know much about cars. On older cars you need to do a lot of upkeep and stay on top of everything. Just fixing one little thing and not going all out will make thing even worse. Like your cooling, you need to redo everything and hunt the problem down, not just fix the obvious. If you don't you will be replacing the motor. The one thing on your car that would drive me nuts is the wheels, it should have knock off wheels.
