Not doing chemistry next year but I remember my chemistry teacher telling me so many times how a lot of gcse chemistry was so simplified and not the whole truth

I get that the knowledge needs to be simplified at GCSE, but what’s the point of teaching all that to us if we just have to relearn the basics in Y12??

I know I've been lied to a lot with chemistry cause my teacher used to say it and when I asked them why something does something or behaves the way it does they would just say that that's not how it really works and that it is so simplified it is lying to us
