Live from the World Chess Hall of Fame, the 11th Sinquefield Cup is the last of five legs of the Grand Chess Tour. The nine Tour players are joined by a wildcard (pairings below) for a classical round robin. Join GMs Yasser Seirawan & Peter Svidler, IM Nazi Paikidze, and WGM Anastasiya Karlovich for the move-by-move.

Great tournament for Alireza! His play was both calculated and solid, with impressive defensive skills and much better time management. Winning his first game really set the tone, putting pressure on Fabi and the others to catch up. He got a bit lucky in a game or two, particularly against MVL, but overall it was a well-deserved victory. I hope he maintains this high level of performance in his other classical games.

How is alireza 1st in gct standings can someone explain??? He only won the sinqfield cup but fabi on the other hand recently won the gct rapid and blitz tournament and also secured 2-3rd position in other gct tournament. shouldn't he be the first in final standings?? Also he came 2nd in this sinqfield cup so it's not like alireza caught him up with these points .. pls explain

unfortunately when you are displaying many games, viewers get to get lost in between and feel disoriented what was happening in which game. Its difficult to get around this, since all are good games. but viewers typically can digest only two games at a time in a qualitative way.
